Every year The Dakins hold a cricket match at West Malvern Cricket Club in memory of Andrew Dakin, a much loved Dad, husband and friend to many ❤️ This year we would like to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK remembering the beautiful Hollie, who sadly passed away last September. Please use the link on our facebook page to make a donation to Bowel Cancer UK to help us raise awareness of this horrible disease and hopefully save as many lives as possible. There will be a BBQ at the cricket match, so please bring your pennies (all to be donated to Bowel Cancer UK) There will also be games and music. 21st October 202411.08.2024 - Today was the annual Andy Dakin Memorial Match where club members, friends and family host a match in his honour.
A wonderful day of cakes, bbq, cricket and fun at Mathon Court.
The Dakin XI came out victorious over the Jones XI by chasing down the 128-9 set with 4 balls to spare ending up with 131-6 and a 4 wicket winning margin. Congratulations!
Thanks to all who attended and made the day special, there is a link for a just giving page raising money for Bowel Cancer in memory of both Andy & Hollie Hill. An amazing £1,000 was raised for Bowel Cancer UK via the Dakin's Just Giving page.
A great day
15th August 2024We all had a great day on Sunday and the weather was glorious. Rowan's team won the match and was presented with the wooden plane, which belonged to his father Andy Dakin, by his mother Sue. The BBQ, cakes and drinks kept everyone refreshed. The tombola did a roaring trade and in all £238 was collected on the day. Donations came flooding in on the Just Giving page and with a great final push by Georgina she reached her goal of £1,000 for Bowel Cancer UK in memory of her friend Hollie. Bowel Cancer UK and Hollie's family are very grateful for this support from all who attended and donated.
